I recently got a new job over at Urban Outfitters as a display artist.

here are a few pictures of a shoe fixture i built recently using 2 x 4's and plywood.
I really enjoy using inexpensive raw materials.

Whoa,

Please explain your job. Do you work for Urban Outfitters for the corporation or does a specific store hire an artist to do installs for that location only.

That's really cool man. I wish I was handy and could hammer a nail. Sadly, I am not.

IV_changed a tire today though! manly?

i think changing a tire is just about the manliest thing one can do :)

if you can do that you could probably survive in the mountains. and fight a grizzly bear.

its just what i heard. :)

yeah, i work for the urbn store in tampa, in ybor. all of the stores have a display artist. I work directly with the merchandiser to create displays for products and also create the over all look and feel of the store. they provide all of the stores with ideas to help you with direction, but its mostly up to the DA's and merchandisers. I also get a sweet workshop and a bunch of tools to play with.

also, you don't always have to flip a tire out you also can get the hole patched up. in the long run they are good as new & are real cheaper.
