We are writing to you now
In the middle of the night
From a bench at the edge of a pond
In a far off land
All the while
We ’ve received your transmissions
From the past ,
From the present ,
And even from the future
And from them have crafted
This bound volume
Of expressions , beings , && figures
Recollections from beyond
Our lifetimes in the first–person emerge :
Second beings
before the beginning of
time
Dreaming of
A shelf of hand–picked shells ,
A dirt floored corner store ,
The secrets of an underwater world ,
Harvests on a starry night ,
The end of the Earth ,
& a connection without signal
We are images living within the page ,
Poems woven out of the clash
Of past tempos and the
Velocity of the present day
The acceleration causes friction
From which primal fire sparks
And precious histories are turned to ash
A new reality surfaces :
In the foreground
figures are shifting back and forth ;
In the background
Ideas are dancing in our minds
We are coming up for air
To touch
To grow
To reach
To feel
